No. Myofunctional therapy is designed to strengthen muscles safely and gently. You may feel effort, but you should not feel pain.

Yes. Practicing at home is essential for success and usually takes 5 minutes twice a day for the active exercises. Some of the passive exercises, which can be done while relaxing, watching television, commuting, or reading range from 5-30 minutes once a day.

Many insurance plans do not cover myofunctional therapy. It is advised that you check with your plan to determine if coverage is eligible. I can provide invoices and superbills for you to submit for possible reimbursement.

Yes. Many patients use their HSAs or FSAs to pay for myofunctional therapy. Invoices and superbills, will be provided for submission. It is advised to check with your plan administrator to confirm eligibility.

It is ideal that you have a small to medium-sized mirror at home for your exercises. I will provide you with with a myofunctional therapy tool kit that has the other items that you’ll need.
